Our client is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Fleet Controller to join their dynamic logistics team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and managing our fleet of vehicles, ensuring efficient operations, and utilizing fleet tracking systems to maintain optimal performance and compliance. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills in fleet management and logistics Fleet Monitoring and Management: Track and manage the daily operations of the company's fleet using advanced fleet tracking systems. Monitor vehicle performance, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules to ensure efficient operation. Assist in coordinating and dispatching vehicles to meet operational needs and customer requirements. Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze data from fleet tracking systems to identify trends, issues, and areas for improvement. Prepare and submit regular reports on fleet performance, including utilization, downtime, and compliance metrics. Compliance and Safety: Ensure all fleet activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including vehicle inspections and driver hours. Promote and enforce safety standards and practices among drivers and fleet operations. Communication and Coordination: Serve as a point of contact for drivers, addressing their concerns and providing support as needed. Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics, customer service, and maintenance, to optimize fleet operations. Administrative Support: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of vehicle and driver information. Assist in the procurement and registration of new vehicles. Support the Senior Fleet Controller and Fleet Manager with administrative tasks as required. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Diploma or higher in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred. Experience: Previous experience in fleet management, logistics, or a related field is advantageous. Proficiency in using fleet tracking systems and software. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with fleet management software and tracking systems.
