Description of Duties Job Overview: A small boutique law firm specializing in commercial law is seeking the services of a junior legal secretary. The candidate should be able to receive new instructions on behalf of the firm, manage and diaries such instructions on a timeously basis with assistance and close working relationship of the directors. The candidate should be able to transcribe documents accurately from a dictaphone and maintain accurate formatting of legal documentation from such transcription. The candidate should be able to manage efficient workflow and timely completion of instructions. The candidate will also be responsible for corresponding with clients via email and telephone. Responsibilities and Duties: Receiving of new instructions on behalf of the firm and attending to the opening of a new file; Maintaining and attending to accurate FICA compliance of clients; Transcribing legal documents in the correct format; Assisting to cause service of legal documents; Managing filing systems and diarising of files; Proofread and edit documents to ensure accuracy and completeness. Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, attending to correspondence with clients and general secretarial work. Qualifications Salary R15 000
