We are looking for a knowledgeable, detail-oriented junior Lighting Technician to join our small team. You will play a key role in ensuring the seamless execution of audiovisual experiences, contributing to the success of our events and projects. Your responsibilities will include: – Transporting, setting up and operating audio visual equipment, specifically Lighting equipment – Setting up and performing electrical wiring, programming, and basic construction according to layout diagrams and schedules. – Meeting clients’ standards by handling equipment malfunctions and executing a flawless event. – Performing inventory management on equipment, wiring, and accessories. – Carrying out any cleaning, maintenance, or repairs on audiovisual equipment. The applicant must have: – Min 2 years experience operating, repairing and assembling the technical requirements of theatrical productions, live events or shows – Ability to use an operate Chamsys and MA Lighting consoles – Must have basic experience working across other disciplines such as operating sound or AV. – Minimum Grade 12 education – Applicant must be able to work at odd hours – Excellent computer and troubleshooting skills. – Creativity, attention to detail, and flexibility. – Strong communication skills – Good hearing and eyesight – Must be able to lift heavy equipment The post Junior Lighting Technician appeared first on freerecruit.co.za .
