Position Overview: We are looking for a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to contribute to our engineering department. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or mechatronics engineering from a recognised South African university. This role will involve responsibilities such as mechanical design, preventive maintenance, process fault finding, and process improvement. Proficiency in AutoCAD and solid modelling software is essential for this position. Collaborate with senior engineers to develop and implement mechanical designs for new projects or product enhancements. Conduct preventive maintenance activities to ensure the reliability and longevity of equipment and production lines. Perform process fault finding to identify and troubleshoot issues in manufacturing processes. Propose and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and productivity. Prepare technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports. Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals and objectives. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics Engineering from a recognized South African university Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and practices Excellent AutoCAD skills for 2D drafting and solid modelling software proficiency Ability to analyse and solve complex technical problems. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse range of coworkers on the many different levels found in a production environment. Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges and technologies.
