Junior Mechanical Sales and Proposals Engineer Proposals and Sales Engineer to develop, prepare and co-ordinate the submission of Tenders, Proposals and Quotations for auxiliary equipment used in the water and waste industry. SUMMARY OF ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES: Establish and improve systems and procedures for effective service delivery including plant design and maintenance. Product / equipment design development through careful selection of equipment, providing cost-effective solutions whilst ensuring technical compliance with client requirements, Preparation of Technical Specifications of equipment for Request for Quotations Preparation of engineering design deliverables for tenders, Prepare tenders for projects whilst supporting the team to ensure efficient plant operation, efficient preventative and corrective maintenance. Interpret & Implement Client Requirements and Specifications, Develop accurate financial & commercial models to determine competitive and viable pricing structures for all projects, Participating in HAZOP/HAZAN studies, value engineering exercises and design reviews if required. Compilation of equipment schedules. Setting up of Supplier Quotation Evaluation criteria and completing the evaluations. Communicating with suppliers regarding technical requirements for tenders. Compilation of internal cost sheets. Preparation of technical and commercial documentation for tenders. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS & COMPETENCE: B. Sc Mechanical Engineering or equivalent Must be able to understand and speak Afrikaans, AutoCAD experience required, Previous work experience in tenders and proposal required, (Water and/or Chemical industry experience advantageous), Good knowledge of walkways, stairways, guarding rails, and safety requirements, Must have a thorough knowledge of commercial terms, Valid Driver's License Excellent communication and organizational skills. Remuneration: Negotiable Desired Skills: BSc Mechanical Engineering degree Autocad Experience Desired Work Experience: 2 to 5 years Desired Qualification Level: Degree
