They are seeking a highly motivated and organised individual to join their team as a Junior Solar O&M and Project Engineer. This role is pivotal within the sustainability sector, requiring an Engineering Qualification with a strong grasp of Solar PV systems. The ideal candidate will be involved in compiling Solar Performance and Operations & Maintenance (O&M) reports, assisting in project implementation, and demonstrating initiative in problem-solving. If you are passionate about sustainability and green building practices and seeking to join a team of like-minded individuals, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity RESPONSIBILITIES The successful candidate's Key Responsibilities would include: The Implementation of Projects: Assist with feasibility studies, data collection, and analysis. Manage and execute sustainability projects from inception to completion. Coordinate project scheduling and subcontractors. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project goals are met within budget and timelines. Monitor project progress, track budgets, and report on project status. Process contractor invoices and manage payment schedules. Conduct site inspections and ensure quality control of contractor works. Maintain project documentation and assist in risk mitigation. as well as Solar Performance and O&M Reporting: Compile quarterly solar performance and O&M reports for clients. Monitor solar monitoring portals and address concerns with contractors promptly. Maintain professional relationships with stakeholders. Ensure compliance with O&M contracts and specifications. Manage O&M SLA renewals and assist in procurement processes SKILLS Strong ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Excellent planning, process management, and attention to detail. Professional engagement and ability to work independently and in teams. Flexibility to travel to job sites and work flexible hours as required. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS Qualification in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred, with industry experience. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 2 years of relevant project management experience in solar/sustainability sectors. Competent understanding of Solar PV systems. Proficient in Google Workspace/Microsoft Office Suite, especially Google Sheets/Excel, and project management software. Automation skills in data processing are advantageous. R216k - R300k CTC per annum
