Perform IQC on received components and accept or reject orders. Effectively analyse and identify the root causes of quality problems; develop and implement corrective action plans and improvements to products and processes. Interface with technical staff of suppliers as required to address quality problems. Participate in product design reviews and identify problems and solutions related to measurability, manufacturability, performance, reliability, and feasibility. Design fixtures such as jigs and other required components for the assembly lines and injection moulding. Design and recommend tooling modifications where necessary. Perform process & operator inspections & audits, where necessary, stop production until defects or process parameters are corrected. Assess injection moulding tooling effectiveness and recommend repair or modification where necessary. Perform OQC or buy-offs according to AQLs and accept or reject orders. Perform supplier audits when required and discuss audit findings with QC manager & suppliers. Take part in ISO 9001 certification renewal process and audits for the company. Ensure that products are ISO, SANS, and IEC compliant. Ensure that all components used in the assembly line are per the test report. Reject components which are not listed in the test report. Must have a BTech/BEng/BSc in Mechanical Engineering from a recognised SA university. Minimum of 2 years' experience in manufacturing, preferably injection moulding. Experience in components design through AUTOCAD. ISO 9001:2015 exposure or certification. Six-sigma Statistical Process Control (SPC) Root Cause Analysis Experience in tooling design is an added advantage.
