Join our esteemed team at General Heavy Machinery (Pty) Ltd, where we proudly serve as the exclusive original equipment manufacturer agent for SANY Equipment. As a provider in the mining machinery industry, we are currently seeking a passionate and motivated Junior Technician to complement our team. In this role, the primary responsibility will be to manage and maintain machinery to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Assisting senior technicians with assigned tasks. Ensuring that all machines are checked daily and greased weekly. Ensuring all breakdowns, additional services and preventative maintenance are completed timeously, assisting with site inventory management Updating on the relevant WhatsApp groups. Follow up on all the operations procedures according to the SOP. Ad-hoc requests. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers. Excellent time management and planning skills. Computer literate, including all Microsoft programs/software, must be able to fill in job cards and time sheets properly. Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service. Ability to work on SKT's (wide body trucks), RDT's, ADT's, excavators and road headers. Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices. Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with local mining standards. Minimum Matric and Red seal trade certificate (diesel mechanic) required. At least 2 years of working experience in a similar field with similar machinery. Valid driver's license.
