Our valued client in the Automotive Sector is seeking to employ a Jnr Toolmaker to join their skilled and dynamic team. Based in Port Elizabeth Area. Toolmaker KEY COMPETENCIES Accredited toolmaker qualification (NQF 4) 2. Have a minimum of 5 years’ technical experience in an automotive manufacturing environment (Automotive seating experience advantageous). 3. Good working knowledge of engineering machining 4. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings 5. Ability to analyse and repair tooling issues 6. Knowledge of quality SPC’s and FMEA’s 7. Computer literate (MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) 8. Good communication skills (verbal & written) 9. Good problem solving and analytical skills KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS Responsibilities include, but not limited to:- 1. Ensuring that equipment and machinery repairs are done according to Scheduled Maintenance Reports. 2. Conducting fault-finding and repair of jigs & fixtures. 3. Correct identification of materials for various applications in toolmaking 4. Maintaining hand tools in good, safe working condition 5. Maintaining machinery, equipment and immediate area in a clean and tidy condition. 6. Adherence to health and safety requirements 7.
