Key Accounts Manager Duties & Responsibilities PURPOSE OF THE ROLE Drive client loyalty, retention, and profitability in our most valuable clients. Proactively drive revenue growth across our Key Accounts through effective cross-selling initiatives, driving usage at a store level, and capitalizing on the opportunities within each account. Play an integral part in formulating a winning long-term client retention strategy that will support business growth and keep churn to an absolute minimum. Identify patterns, trends, and root causes stemming from client issues, which need to be addressed and proactively propose solutions to these issues, managing Head Office expectations and [URL Removed] DUTIES Actively manage a portfolio of 500 Key Accounts Proactively grow revenue in these Key Accounts by cross-selling gift and loyalty, cash advance, and consumer finance as well as driving usage and ensuring we are the favoured provider across all the opportunities within the Key Account. Formulate a winning long-term client retention strategy that will support business growth and keep churn to an absolute minimum. Identify patterns, trends, and root causes stemming from client issues, which need to be addressed and proactively propose solutions to these issues, managing Head Office expectations and relationships. Oversee the management of key projects for these Key Accounts ensuring on-time delivery and exceptional client satisfaction. Create Account Plans, execute account strategies and enable achievement of defined objectives for clients through demonstrating a deep understanding of client needs and business value drivers. Engage Head Office with a monthly performance report for Key Accounts, providing 360 view of the Account. Connect Key Stakeholders of Sureswipe & Key Account on a Quarterly / Annual basis. Deliver Key Account Plans through the Regional Account Managers that support the operational relationships at the store level for the related Key Accounts. Engage the Sureswipe Support team on Key Account strategies and execution plans on a monthly basis. Take ownership of all critical rate negotiations on client contracts ensuring outcomes that satisfy both the client and the Sureswipe business. Develop the Key Account relationship through managing and articulating Customer Value Propositions that enhance client satisfaction, increase loyalty and help differentiate Sureswipe from the competition. Build strong and lasting client relationships that will positively contribute to clients NPS score and increase customer satisfaction and loyalty. KNOWLEDGE Knowledge of the South African payment system and banking industry is preferable Sales Force (CRM) proficient REPORTING TO: Customer Value Growth & Retention Manager LONG TERM POTENTIAL OF THE CANDIDATE Growth opportunities with in the company are wide and varied. OTHER CONSIDERATIONS Desired Experience & Qualification SKILLS, ATTRIBUTES AND QUALIFICATION Sales Force CRM Proficient Strong sales and negotiation skills Deep project management and planning skills Advanced client relationship and retention skills Proven track record of value selling Strong business and financial acumen required Strong problem-solving skills Proven track record in leadership History of effective account management Tertiary qualifications in Business would be preferable. EXPERIENCE A minimum of 5 years experience in a key account or business development role; Proven track record of being a top performer in sales and key account management Proven leadership ability.
