The incumbent is responsible for the general administrative duties that include, but are not limited to, stock control, maintenance scheduling, calibration maintenance, and liaising with contractors and suppliers. The incumbent will perform general responsibilities in the laboratory to ensure best laboratory practices are maintained. The incumbent will be responsible for the weekly stock counts, stock receiving, stock orders, liaising with suppliers on back orders and new orders, requesting POs from finance for stock orders, filing of the safety sheets and COAs, maintaining stock above critical levels. The incumbent will additionally resolve all general administrative duties as required by management and team leaders that include outsourcing of samples to approved suppliers, following up on outstanding outsourced results, maintaining the maintenance schedule for equipment and building needs, and maintaining the equipment calibration schedule. The incumbent may also be required to ensure that the correct procedures are followed pertaining to ISO17025 and SAHPRA guidelines. Matric certificate 1-3 years general experience within a microbiological laboratory or 1-3 years general experience within an ISO 17025 accredited environment practicing in an administrative role.
