If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you Hire Resolve is currently seeking a Laboratory Manager in the food manufacturing industry to join their client's dynamic team in Gauteng. Responsibilities: As a Laboratory Manager, you will be responsible for: Oversee all laboratory operations, including testing procedures, equipment maintenance, and quality control measures Manage a team of laboratory technicians, providing training and guidance as needed Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of all testing results Monitor and maintain compliance with company and industry standards, including HACCP and GMP regulations Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to address any issues or concerns related to laboratory testing Maintain accurate records of all testing procedures and results, ensuring traceability and documentation of all findings Manage inventory of laboratory supplies and equipment, ordering as needed and maintaining stock levels Stay informed of industry trends and advancements in laboratory technology, implementing new processes and procedures as needed Participate in audits and inspections, providing documentation and supporting evidence as required Requirements: Bachelor's degree in food science, microbiology, chemistry, or related field (Master's degree preferred) 5 years of experience in food manufacturing, with a focus on laboratory management Strong knowledge of food safety and quality assurance standards, including HACCP and GMP regulations Experience managing a team of laboratory technicians, providing training and guidance as needed Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams Proficient in Microsoft Office and laboratory software applications Detail-oriented and organized, with a strong focus on accuracy and quality control Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously Certification in laboratory management or related field is a plus Benefits: Contact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.
