Our client is seeking to employ a Labour Trainer to join their team. Open position: Labour Trainer Location: Port Elizabeth Salary: Market Related Type: Permanent Report to: Management Strictly EE/AA position Job Requirements: National Diploma in Human Relations or Training & Development Minimum 3 – 5 years of manufacturing experience. Responsibilities: Shopfloor Training – On the job training: Coordinate, train and assess shopfloor employees to meet the qualification matrix required to perform the job competently. Monitor and Track that all shopfloor employees meet the skills requirements according to job descriptions Conduct the training needs audits for existing and new shopfloor personnel Plan the training (training targets; agenda; venue; time; materials; assessment tools etc.) Liaise for changes in manning requirements on shopfloor and define critical business changes that require training support. Training Content and material creation – Develop training manuals and assessment tools exercises Maintain and update training manuals and assessment tools exercises for relevance Obtain sign off of training manuals from Subject Matter Experts in the Factory Obtain e-sign off approval on Training Manuals - e-sign SFTM, HRBP, Business Team Manager, Production Manager, Quality Systems Manager Define and prepare the training content for theoretical training in collaboration with the relevant person. Training Delivery Provide and conduct the theoretical training according to predefined training contents and targets Ensure that practical training on the machines is carried out Adapt training methodology according to trainee's knowledge and skills Give clear instructions and guidance on all relevant training topics to supervisor and employees Motivate trainees to learn the requested knowledge & skills and motivate them to practice what they have learned Support trainees' qualification/ disqualification/ requalification until they meet the required skills Arrange on-boarding for new employees entering the department Training Evaluations/ Assessments Conduct an evaluation according to the assessment(certification/recertification) plan to check if all trained employees meet the skill requirements for the job they are employed for Check and evaluate if the training content is transferred correctly into practice Conduct assessments for all shopfloor employees according to SETA requirements Moderate assessments Monitor and track assessments at various stages of employee life cycle to evaluate competence Store all completed assessments in a confidential location Training Records/ Reporting Maintain training data base Maintain training matrix's Update and maintain daily monthly and annual training reports Maintain/revise and develop job descriptions for hourly employees MERSETA Utilise the correct templates provided by TMOD to capture training for the annual WSP and ATR submission Ensure that registration as a company Labour Trainer is valid on the NSDMS Attend the training committee meetings and present a quarterly Should you meet the above job requirements please email your CV to nanettezwanda.co.za Please add “Labour Trainer” into the subject line of your email.
