ABOUT WESSELS: The South Africa Manganese operation can be found in the manganese rich Kalahari Basin, in the country's Northern Cape, which is home to 80 per cent of the world's manganese. This position is based at our Wessels Mine which represents one of the largest manganese reserves in South Africa. ABOUT THE ROLE: This role is a permanent full-time position. As a Supervisor Maintenance , y ou will be responsible for leading a team a maintenance team to ensure the effective execution of planned and unplanned work on Fermels , Manitou's & Toyota LandCruiser's. Other key responsibilities include, but aren't limited to: • Ensuring maximum equipment availability, reliability and operational stability • Safe delivery of maintenance activities • Control and account for maintenance expenditure • Ensuring that correct failure data information emanating from the breakdown is routed to the Maintenance Analysis & Assurance reliability engineers to enable them to perform quality root cause analysis to eliminate interruptions / breakdowns of equipment • Focus on effective communication and prioritization of breakdowns to ensure the least impact on production operations ABOUT YOU: You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following: • A minimum of 3 years relevant experience on maintenance of Fermels , Manitou's and/or Land Cruisers; • Underground hard rock mining experience is a requirement. Qualifications for this role are: • Grade 12 or N3 Technical Certificate and a valid Trade Test.
