Reference: NFR004143-CAY-1 We are looking for a strategic and experienced professional to serve as a Lead Group Legal and Compliance Officer in Rosebank, Gauteng. In this role, you will oversee all legal and compliance matters across the organisation, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and safeguarding the company's interests. Duties and responsibilities include: Legal Oversight: Manage all legal affairs, including contracts, agreements, intellectual property, and litigation. Compliance Leadership: Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to regulatory standards and best practices. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate legal and compliance risks, providing strategic advice to senior management. Corporate Governance: Oversee corporate governance practices and ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of legal and compliance professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Commercial Law/ LLB/ B.Com Law or equivalent Minimum 10 year's experience in Legal and compliance management (listed company exposure advantageous) Experience in compliance auditing advantageous. Knowledge of Corporate Governance Principles, relevant Codes and Legislation, particularly the Companies Act and King IV Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
