INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT FACULTY OF SCIENCE, ENGINEERING AND TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT OF BUILT ENVIRONMENT Applications are hereby invited for the following positions LECTURER (Permanent) Peromnes P8 Reference No: WSU-BTH-FEBEIT 04/2024/01 Offer tuition to students on courses in Diploma/Advance Diploma Built Environment programme as offered by the department of Built Environment. Initiate research, community engagement and seminar activities Participating in research paper publications Preparing course outlines and study guides for students and lecturers Performing and carrying delegated administrative duties of the department Skills/Competencies required Ability to supervise research at postgraduate level and develop research capacity Ability and willingness to undertake administrative responsibilities Ability and willingness to participate in community engagement projects and related activities Sound interpersonal skills including commitment to collegiality and equal opportunities Good communication and people management skills Computer literacy and competency in application of word/ Windows, Excel, Power Point presentation, Win QS and/or QS Plus and MS Project Master's degree in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying An applicant must have done undergraduate studies in BSc or BTech or Advanced Diploma in Construction Management or Quantity Surveying. Professional registration with South African Council for the Project and Construction Management Professions (SACPCMP) and the South African Council for the Quantity Surveying Profession (SACQSP) will be an added advantage. Minimum of two (2) years teaching/lecturing or industry experience
