The Department of Civil Engineering Technology (DCET) is one of several departments in FEBE. The Department offers accredited Bachelor of Engineering Technology (BEng Tech) and BEng Tech (Hons) programmes. Responsibilities: Teach and assess Water Engineering modules in Civil Engineering. Supervise research and laboratory work at undergraduate and postgraduate level. Conduct own research and publish articles in accredited journals. Actively participate in the department and faculty committees. Assist the department with academic and administrative activities. Master's degree in civil engineering At least 3 years' of lecturing experience at a tertiary institution Recommendations: ECSA registration or eligible for registration with ECSA. Research specialization that articulates well with the existing interest of the department. Evidence of research outputs and proven track record of postgraduate supervision at Honours level or higher. Competencies: Relevant evidence of discipline advancement and / or community engagement projects. Fluent in English, teaching demonstration would be required. Evidence of strong industrial participation. Evidence of professional development. Evidence of relevant research capacity.
