Lecturer in Speech Language Pathology (2 Posts) - East London

Minimum Requirements:
  • A relevant Masters Degree (including Linguistics; ECI and AAC) and registered for a Doctoral Degree
  • Professional registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa in the category of Speech Therapist
  • At least 1 years experience in higher education or Qualification/courses in higher education teaching and learning
  • Undergraduate teaching experience in Speech and Language Pathology
  • Research publications or successful supervision or successful research grant funding .

Duties:
  • Participate in research; curriculum design, development, and implementation
  • Teach undergraduate (and postgraduate) modules
  • Meet research publication requirements for academic rank of lecturer level
  • Supervise students (Honours/Masters research)
  • Secure research grants
  • Participate in networking and collaborations in research and/or teaching
  • Participate in mentorship programmes
  • Participate in community engagement integrated with teaching or research
  • Participate in administrative duties in the department
