Legal Advisor - Upington

Minimum requirements:
  • Legal/HR qualification
  • Additional qualification/certificate/diploma in Labour Law will be an added advantage
  • Drafting experience of all labour law related documents, including but not limited to policies, warnings, contracts of employment, etc.
  • Experience in the chairing of disciplinary enquiries
  • Experience in union negotiations
  • Experience in retrenchments
  • Experience in poor work performance inquiries
  • Experience in ill health enquiries
  • CCMA and Bargaining Council representation
  • Must have extensive knowledge of the BCEA and LRA
  • Must reside close to the area or be willing to relocate
  • Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans
  • To start as soon as possible
It would be an added advantage if the candidate has knowledge/experience of:
  • UIF and COIDA
  • BEE
  • Employment Equity
  • Skills Development
  • Bargaining Council main agreements, including MIBCO, MEIBC, NBCRFLI, etc.
