Our client in the Automotive Industry, requires the services a Legal Compliance Officer to oversee and manage all legal and compliance matters within the company. Key performance areas: Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents. Monitor and analyse changes in laws and regulations that may affect the company's operations and update internal policies accordingly. Facilitate, and provide legal advice and support to management and employees on a wide range of legal issues, including contracts, employment law, intellectual property, and corporate governance. Conduct training sessions to educate employees on compliance policies and procedures. Handle all legal matters and disputes that may arise for and on behalf of the company Manage BBBEE Compliance & audit requirements, in conjunction with the verification agents Develop, implement, and enforce compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas of compliance vulnerability and develop corrective action plans. Collaborate with external legal counsel as needed and manage relationships with regulatory authorities. The successful candidate must have: Matric with a degree in Law, Business Law or any related qualification 1-2 years' experience post articles Admitted Attorney to Law will be advantageous Proven experience working in a legal and compliance role within the Automotive Industry will be advantageous Excellent computer literacy (MS Office – Outlook, Word & Excel) Must have in-depth knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry relations Must have strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex legal documents and regulations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - must be able to communicate with all levels of employees Must be detail-oriented with strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
