Do you have a passion for the renewable energy industry? We're looking for a Legal Counsel with 3-4 years of experience in a legal role to join our client in Midrand. You would be responsible for overseeing all legal matters crucial to our client's success. As our ideal candidate, you have experience in the development and management of legal frameworks and policies , and contract negotiation . Additionally, enforcing various relevant regulatory standards is right up your alley. RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and maintain comprehensive legal strategies aligned with our client's business objectives and practices Update and manage all contractual templates to ensure current and legally sound documents. Provide sound legal advice to our client's team members as needed Oversee contract negotiations for clients and site contractors, ensuring favourable terms and legal compliance Draft, review, and approve all contractual correspondence and formal company communications Manage compliance with the Companies Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act, and other relevant regulations Perform company secretarial duties and manage all CIPC (Companies and Intellectual Property Commission) documentation Lead the resolution of legal disputes and review past contracts Prepare and submit legal reviews and documentation for tenders Ensure compliance with legal obligations under the Companies Act Compile and maintain a regulatory universe for our client's compliance Be an active participant in developing and executing our client's overall business strategy Build and lead an effective and results-driven Legal team SKILLS Highly organised Strong delivery management skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Comfortable dealing with ambiguity Able to work in a collaborative team environment EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS LLB or equivalent Admitted attorney or advocate of the High Court of SA EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS 3 – 4 years experience in a legal role Embedded knowledge of current standards and regulations within the energy sector R500k - R900k CTC per annum
