We have a South African law practice that is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join their team. With 5 offices throughout the country, they specialize in Commercial Litigation, Corporate Law, Property Law, Sectional Title Law, Sports Law, and Labour Law. The ideal candidate for this position must have excellent communication skills, a strong litigation background, and a passion for the legal industry. Responsibilities: - Utilize advanced knowledge of computers, specifically Microsoft Word and Excel. - Work on the AJS accounting system. - Manage the filing and archiving of files. - Take instructions from younger candidate attorneys. - Order supplies for the office. - Deal extensively with service providers, including Sheriffs. - Manage client interactions and collections. Requirements: - Strong organizational and time-management skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. - In-depth understanding of legal filing procedures. - Knowledge of the AJS accounting system. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel). - Strong litigation background. - Experience with legal client interaction and collections.
