Network Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve network issues efficiently, including connectivity problems, configuration errors, and performance issues.
Network Design and Implementation: Assist in designing and implementing network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, and other networking devices.
Advanced Configuration: Configure and administer network devices, including VLANs, routing protocols, ACLs, VPNs, and QoS settings.
Network Security: Implement and manage network security measures, such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and access control policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Network Monitoring and Management: Proactively monitor network performance, identify issues, and implement solutions using network monitoring tools.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting procedures. Provide regular reports on network performance and security incidents.
Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with other IT teams to support business objectives and resolve cross-functional issues. Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding network-related matters.
Knowledge Sharing and Mentoring: Share knowledge and provide guidance to junior team members or other IT staff. Assist in training and development initiatives.
Adherence to Best Practices: Follow industry best practices and standards for network design, configuration, and security. Stay updated on emerging technologies and security threats in the networking field.
On-call Support: Be available for on-call support and participate in incident response activities outside of regular business hours, as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
3+ years of experience in network engineering or a related role.
Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
Hands-on experience with network hardware and software, including Cisco, Juniper, and Palo Alto.
