JOB DESCRIPTION INFORMATION:
Job Title: Linux Systems Administrator (x2)
Employment Type: Full time, On-site position
Work Location: West Rand, Roodepoort - Johannesburg
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Build, improve and maintain clusters of blockchain daemons/consensus nodes in a scalable and highly redundant way. A mix of containerized and virtualized environments.
- LINUX administration - DEBIAN Based.
- WINDOWS Administration.
- Network Administration - SDWAN, VLAN, LAN, FIREWALL.
- CRM, HELPDESK and MAIL administration.
- Implement robust monitoring tools to control the stability blockchain infrastructure using Grafana and Prometheus.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Proficiency in management and maintenance of self-hosted infrastructure.
- Experience with running Docker containers.
- Strong passion for cryptocurrencies and the technology that underpins it.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies.
- Advanced understanding of security principles and practices.
- Previous experience in interacting with blockchain nodes (i.e., Bitcoin, Ethereum) is an added advantage.
- Scripting Abilities BASH.
- LINUX experience.
