Job Desciption Novus Print, a division of Novus Holdings, is looking to appoint two Litho Web Offset Printers with particular experience and exposure in the Cold Set environment. The incumbents must have a record of accomplishment of excellence that is built on a strong foundation of values and performance culture. A high regard for structured business processes and applying team cohesion. The successful incumbents will report to the Press Manager and will be based at the Johannesburg business unit. Key Duties and Responsibilities Efficient workflow planning to meet production targets and deadlines Preparation and running of all units under his or her control, including colour registration Fault finding on presses Perform regular maintenance on printing presses Quality monitoring Optimal utelization of resources to ensure minimum waste, maximum productivity and work efficiency Adherence to all Health and Safety legislative requirements and meeting the required standards Housekeeping in and around the Press Department Educational Requirements Grade 12 National Certificate A recognised trade certificate (Rotary Web Offset Machine Minding) Experience Requirements At least 3 years’ industry related experience is essential. At least 3 years’ experience/exposure in a similar position. Able to work weekends, shifts and public holidays. Skills and Competencies Good planning and time management skills Good communication and inter-personal skills Problem solving and well-developed decision making abilities Knowledge of print production processes and raw materials Sound computer skills is required (MS Office packages) The ability to multi–task and to work independently under pressure
