Reference: DUR002918-SN-1Our client, a long-established and successful national legal firm is looking for a suitably qualified and experienced individual to execute a variety of Litigation Paralegal duties of a confidential nature. Minimum Requirements: Matric. Diploma or Degree in Law/Legal equivalent qualification. Min 5 years’ experience working in a similar role. In depth knowledge of foreclosures and bank processes is essential. Knowledge of FICA. Ability to deal with several matters at once. Good command of the English language. Ability to work independently and to use initiative. Meticulous and ability to pay attention to detail. Ability to prioritise duties and handle pressure while keeping calm. Computer Literate (MS Office Suite) especially Excel. Own transport is essential. The Job: Receive new instructions from clients and attend to foreclosures. Prepare and draft Section 129 Letters of Demand, Summons, Rule 46A applications, Rule 46A 9(d), Writ, Sale in Executions, advertising, and Settlement Agreements. Contact and liaise with clients, banks, and attorneys. Prepare invoices and attend to the collection of costs from clients. Provide administrative support to professional staff and partners. File, index and paginate, and brief counsel. The Person: Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong ability to anticipate and plan. Customer focussed. Speedy and accurate. Reliable and punctual. Able to work under pressure. Well organised. Take initiative in this challenging and rewarding role. R250 000.00 per annum (cost to company) - negotiable
