To coordinate logistics operations and ensure the efficient and controlled administration of import and exports, for a manufacturing company. Provides visibility of materials movement to the Logistics Manager in the form of forecasted shipments as prescribed and required by the logistics team. Interacts with the expediting team to obtain required information and shipping release notes in order to activate shipments. Facilitate the shipping of products from one destination to another. Prepares documentation for loads for import and export. Ensuring the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of import and export. Streamlines shipping and transportation processes. Monitoring shipments, costs, timeous reporting. Manage documentation throughout the order fulfilment and transportation cycle to make sure established deadlines are met. Provides feedback to the Logistics Manager on the tracking of the materials in the form of a freight journal or required format. Identifies and communicates early warning to the Logistics Manager of any transport delays from suppliers. Ensure all import and export documents are filed online and kept as prescribed by the document management procedure. Takes steps to submit accurate documentation. Analysing and optimizing logistical documentation. Obtain quotes, preparing and routing purchase orders. Liaising and negotiating with suppliers and retailers. Liaise with customers, respond promptly to queries and report issues to Logistics Manager. Check and ensure accuracy of purchase orders corresponds to sales requirements and supplier quotation. Online filing of supplier documentation with the sales order. Assist with monthly cycle-counts and bi-annual stock counts. Assist with marketing requirements for promotional material and Trade Show. Attend to ad-hoc tasks as and when required by management. 3 years Logistics Management diploma or similar post graduate diploma / degree. 3-5 years of experience in logistics within a similar Industry. Excellent knowledge of all Logistics policies and procedures. Good knowledge of import and export operations and thorough understanding of procurement processes and corporate governance requirements. Detailed knowledge of import and export documentation procedures and requirements. Working knowledge of legal regulations and ISO requirements. Knowledge of INCOTERMS and Customs procedure codes. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Logistics software. Good planning and organizational skills. Strong problem-solving skills. SAP or LN ERP systems knowledge would be beneficial. Apply Now
