Logistics Manager - East London
Job Description:
Ensure optimum logistical performance
Ensure the highest customer satisfaction
Compile, implement and maintain procedures to ensure uniform operations
Identify, introduce and monitor key performance indicators
Report the status of the Logistics Department to the directorate
Compile the financial and capex budgets for Logistics.
Manage and monitor expenses against these budgets Propose reward for merit and discipline for in-efficiency
Job Requirements:
3 year Degree in Supply Chain Management/ Purchasing/ Business Administration
Minimum 5 years experience in supply chain/logistics environment
Minimum 3 years experience with MPS/MRP (preferably Navision & SAP)
Minimum 3 years exposure to a purchasing environment
Minimum 5 years experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
Knowledge required:
Knowledge and understanding of production processes Knowledge and understanding of supply chain functions Sound knowledge of MRPII
Knowledge of customer specific requirements in the automotive industry
Sound knowledge to use Excel spreadsheets
Knowledge of purchasing processes
