Logistics Manager - East London

Job Requirements:
Knowledge required:
- Ensure optimum logistical performance
- Ensure the highest customer satisfaction
- Compile, implement and maintain procedures to ensure uniform operations
- Identify, introduce and monitor key performance indicators
- Report the status of the Logistics Department to the directorate
- Compile the financial and capex budgets for Logistics.
- Manage and monitor expenses against these budgets Propose reward for merit and discipline for in-efficiency
Job Requirements:
- 3 year Degree in Supply Chain Management/ Purchasing/ Business Administration
- Minimum 5 years experience in supply chain/logistics environment
- Minimum 3 years experience with MPS/MRP (preferably Navision & SAP)
- Minimum 3 years exposure to a purchasing environment
- Minimum 5 years experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
Knowledge required:
- Knowledge and understanding of production processes Knowledge and understanding of supply chain functions Sound knowledge of MRPII
- Knowledge of customer specific requirements in the automotive industry
- Sound knowledge to use Excel spreadsheets
- Knowledge of purchasing processes
