Machine Tool Fitter - - Johannesburg

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required

Trade Tested Fitter with 10 years experience.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
Ability to measure with verniers, micrometers, thread gauges etc.
Ability to strip and assemble gearboxes.
Ability to draft a materials list and complete simple sketches and drawings.
Ability to do routine maintenance and attend to mechanical break downs when required.
Ability to strip and assemble lead screws and ball screws.
Must be familiar with setting gibs.
Must have hydraulics and pneumatics operating machinery experience.
Must be familiar with electromagnetic and mechanical clutches.
Must be able to work independently and adhere to deadlines.
Must have proven ability to do fault finding.
Understand the safe working procedure of the machines.
Must be able to adhere to general housekeeping rules.
Own transport
Must be able to work shifts.
