Our client, based in Durban, is looking for a Trade Tested Maintenance Electrician to join their team. Perform thorough diagnosis and resolution of electrical breakdowns. Execute servicing and repair tasks for various electrical equipment. Implement preventative maintenance measures to ensure optimal performance and longevity of electrical systems. Oversee and execute electrical projects according to specified guidelines and timelines. Fulfil standby duties as required to address emergency electrical issues. Conduct meticulous safety inspections to uphold regulatory compliance and mitigate risks. Strategically upgrade equipment to enhance performance and reduce maintenance expenses. Proficiently troubleshoot PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) faults to ensure seamless operation of systems. Maintain stringent adherence to safety protocols and standards while executing tasks. Apply specialized techniques and industry-specific practices to deliver optimal outcomes. Effectively communicate utilising Standard Operating Procedures and on-the-job instructions to ensure clarity and precision in tasks. Proficiently diagnose and resolve trade-specific issues to uphold operational efficiency. Interpret trade-specific plans and flow diagrams to facilitate seamless execution of projects. Trade Tested Electrician - Red Seal. Wireman's License advantageous. Experience in a manufacturing & production environment Asset management experience. Demonstrate legal compliance in health and safety. Ability to show optimisation of machine and plant availability. Ability to do mechanical breakdowns advantageous (Hydraulic and Pneumatic). Must be prepared to work shifts. Experience on overhead cranes up to 30Ton. AC/DC Drives, Servo motor & Encoder knowledge. Advanced PLC experience on fault finding, programming, and troubleshooting (Various). Advanced inverter experience on fault finding, programming, and troubleshooting (Various).
