DAYBREAK FOODS requires the services of a suitably qualified Electrical Foreman to oversee daily plant maintenance, ensuring budget compliance. Responsibilities include compiling cost trends, presenting reports to the engineering manager, preparing downtime reports, and managing disciplinary issues. Identify engineering challenges and lead improvement plans, promoting team cohesion. Oversee daily plant maintenance, ensuring adherence to budget. Meet suppliers, analyze costs, and present reports. Manage disciplinary matters. • Issue job cards and ensure completion. Monitor time sheets and weekend maintenance tasks. Maintain spares availability through procurement. Request and evaluate supplier quotes for equipment replacement. Proficiency in Electrical, Pneumatic, and Hydraulic systems, PLCs, and mechanical operations. Ensure workshop cleanliness and equipment servicing. Monitor programmable logic controllers for compliance. Oversee employee training and ensure completion of mandatory training. Provide guidance, mentoring, and develop succession plans. Enforce safe working and food safety procedures. Ensure compliance with OSHAct, standards, Quality, and food safety standards, and participate in quality committees when nominated Matric / Grade 12/N3 with Math's and Science N6/ National Dip Engineering Trade Test (Millwright/Electrical) with Management Certificate beneficial. 5 years' experience in a processing environment in a similar role. Relevant experience within a Food factory environment FMCG (Poultry) would be beneficial. Ammonia refrigeration, Electrical, Programmable logic controllers and mechanical knowledge would be beneficial. Working experience/knowledge of ISO Management systems and standards. Own transport and valid driver's license required. Computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Power point)
