The Maintenance Foreman is responsible for maintenance and repairs of all machinery and related equipment at the Manufacturing Plant site. Preparation and execution of scheduled routine maintenance, in conjunction with production planning. Procurement of all maintenance spares and services, including management of associated maintenance inventory and tools. Execution projects related to modification and installation of machine and process. To support operations by providing effective equipment maintenance ensuring equipment reliability and availability. Support any continuous improvement initiatives through executing projects related to machine modifications Manage and ensure preventative maintenance inspection as per schedule Supervision, training and development of maintenance subordinates Develop suitable maintenance plans and procedures for equipment on factory premises and proactively ensure compliance Responds immediately to equipment-related problems and installs, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs across all equipment in the business area to ensure minimal downtime Responds immediately to equipment break downs and problem in accordance with safety regulations, instruction and quality standards to ensure minimal equipment downtime Tests operation of electrical and control system, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical to evaluate, identify and resolve operating problems Manage product change and machine set up to ensure that they conducted effectively to minimise equipment downtime. Dismantles equipment and machinery to identify, remove, repair and/or replace damaged or deteriorated components and reassembles appropriately Conduct fault finding on equipment and capture improvements using root cause failure analysis Perform general factory maintenance as required, including building and site compliance. Oversee third party contractor maintenance. Ensures maintenance logs and work order documentation on equipment inspection and repairs are maintained to required standard Maintains an organised, clean and safe work area Procurement and management of maintenance spares, tools and equipment. Executes projects involving equipment modifications and installations Supports process improvement projects in technical evaluation and selection of equipment vendors, selection and installations of new equipment for process improvement initiative Ensures all break downs and product changes activities are appropriately recorded by subordinates Liaison with MNF staff and suppliers Communicates matters requiring escalation to Manufacturing Manager, Operations Manager and Directors as appropriate. Managing relationships and escalations with suppliers for all equipment Other Duties Assists with opening and closing of factory premises. Standby duty for security call outs. Experience with liquid filling, including tube fillers and blister packaging machines Millwright, Trade Test Certified Drivers License, own vehicle Excellent time management and the ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. Good verbal and written communications Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem solving ability. Proven technical knowledge of pneumatic and hydraulic machinery Proven technical knowledge of electrical, electronics and control system Demonstrated firm supervisory skills Collaborate across a functional teams and must be willing to learn and share skills with fellow technicians Ability to work on own initiative without close supervision.
