Maintenance Lead - Citrusdal
Job Overview:
We are seeking for a Maintenance Lead to supervise, control, coordinate and oversee the overall work of maintenance staff engaged in renovation, refurbishing, repairs and maintenance of the resort’s structures, buildings, and amenities. This position needs someone to ensure all Health and Safety is adhered to and work in unison with the security manager as part of the Health & Safety committee. We also need the person to supervise the environmental committee with the goal of obtaining the required SEMP scores
What you'll do:
- Maintenance Operations: Ensure maintenance staff are professionally dressed and courteous, adhere to scheduled tasks, maintain equipment and services, organize repairs without disturbing guests, and promptly act on management requests.
- Administration and Management: Ensure duty rosters are covered, monitor staff timekeeping and absenteeism, maintain a high profile with guests and staff, conduct face-to-face meetings, approve and manage maintenance requisitions, inform the General Manager of inventory needs, ensure staff compliance with tasks, reduce operating costs, plan for potential issues, implement maintenance policies, address complaints, follow health and safety measures, and maintain a stock system.
- Staff Learning and Development: Conduct regular feedback and performance appraisals, identify training needs, ensure on-the-job training to meet standards, promote qualified internal candidates for vacancies, and train staff in Health and Safety measures.
- Customer Service: Ensure service quality meets company standards, promptly address and resolve guest complaints, follow up as necessary, and proactively identify and respond to customer needs.
What you'll bring:
- Matric Certificate
- 3-5 years’ relevant maintenance experience
- 1-2 years’ experience coordinating independent projects or task.
- 5 years in building / trade environment
- Hand and power tools basics carpentry, electrical, plumbing and brick laying
