Job Title: Maintenance Manager Industry: Chemical ManufacturingLocation: DurbanRPO Recruitment’s client, in the chemical manufacturing industry, is urgently seeking the expertise of a Maintenance Manager to join their team in Durban.Responsibilities:Plan, develop and implement systems/strategy for maintenance management and development to meet agreed organisational performance plans within agreed budgets and timescales.Ensure that the Maintenance Team is resourced to achieve organisational goals.Implement maintenance systems and strategy to ensure that these resources keep up to world class norms.Establish and maintain appropriate systems for measuring necessary aspects of maintenance management and development.Monitor, measure and report on maintenance issues, opportunities, and development plans.Manage and develop direct reporting staff.Ensure training needs are addressed.Provide leadership, mentorship, and motivational support to teams.Set, manage, and control departmental budgets within agreed parameters.Liaise with other managers to understand all necessary aspects and needs of maintenance development, and to ensure they are fully informed of maintenance objectives, purposes, and achievements.Ensure activities meet with and integrate all organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal stipulations, environmental policies, and general duty of care.Compiles, implements, and manages a project plan for the annual plant maintenance shut and plant improvement Capex and Projects.Ensure compliance to ISO 9001, ISO14001 and company safety standards.Appointed as a GMR 2 for the site.Implements and maintains LSS, PSM Policy and the 5’s principles.Required to work standby and act as a Fire Marshall.Key Requirements:Grade 12.Diploma / Degree in relevant industry.CPIM / CSCA will be an advantage.Computer literate – MS Office – Advanced Excel Skills.Relevant experience in chemical industry.Good Excel skills.Good planning, time management and analytical skills.Good understanding of business processes and systems.Consistent application of operational priorities.Proactive and energetic with high level of attention to detail/accuracy.Logical thinking and information seeking skills.Self-starter with ability to use initiative.Organizational commitment and integrity.Ability to work well within a team environment.Benefits:Salary: negotiable.RPO is a Specialist Recruitment Agency that provides candidates and clients with unique recruitment solutions tailored to their needs.
