Maintenance and fabrication work Maintain occupational health and safety standards regarding maintenance and repairs Maintain maintenance work documentation Adhere to procurement policy for maintenance Ensure best practices with maintenance work Adhere OEM requirements and ISO standards Oversee site security and the site security company Investigate events Manage the onsite workshop Ensure the upkeep and maintenance of the site, buildings, roads, facilities, etc Ensure compliance to all bylaws, provincial and national laws pertaining to maintenance of equipment Preventative and planned maintenance tasks Emergency maintenance Corrective maintenance Replacement installations Refurbishment tasks Repairs Ensure the correct usage of electrical equipment / assets Maintenance on all plant, machinery and ancillary equipment Manage commissioning of new or modified plants Assist with the shutdown and start up procedures for all plants Ensure all plant maintenance and locks out requirements are reported Prepare machinery for inspection Corrosion prevention measures Maintain records regarding maintenance duties Manage workshop equipment and tools Be available for 24 hour stand-by duties Maintain asset registers, service reports, calibrations for all maintenance work Implement planned maintenance according to maintenance schedules PLC and SCADA programming and maintenance experience Maintain automated equipment Strong knowledge of software programs Instrumentation set up and maintenance Equipment failure root cause analysis Identify and minimise site breakdowns and optimise equipment performance Work with suppliers and contractors Manage maintenance personnel Oversee plant electrical and instrumentation maintenance Manage maintenance budgets and expenditures Use asset management techniques to maintain assets, electrical equipment, including switchgear, controllers, and electrical motors Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic circuits and equipment to 4160 volts Supervise the installation of conduit, wiring, relays, control and timing devices and metering equipment Provide leadership and coaching to the maintenance team Recruit and select new teams members Monitor the work of maintenance staff Inspect plant electrical equipment and identify faulty electrical equipment Make recommendations to improve plant equipment efficiency and performance, design and installation Provide input on the design of new electrical equipment Initiate requisitions for supplies, parts and materials Grade 12 Qualified Millwright / Electrical Engineer / Mechanical Engineer Strong mechanical experience Strong electric control and instrumentation experience Relevant experience in maintenance Excellent written and verbal communication skills
