Our client, a leading Manufacturing company, based in Sterkspruit (Eastern Cape), is looking to fill the position of Maintenance Team Leader. Purpose of the Role: Reporting to the Quarry Manager, the successful incumbent will manage and control the Electrical and Mechanical Maintenance function of the Aggregate and Concrete Plants. Key Responsibilities: Manage the execution of maintenance activities to maximize availability of plant and equipment. Execute maintenance policy and compliance with maintenance standards. Maintenance scheduling and preventative maintenance. Prepare and manage budget in line with the company's financial policies and procedures. Manage and support SHEQ initiatives to achieve company's SHEQ objectives. Champion safety initiatives and build commitment to sustain improvements in safety. People management and development of team members by promoting positive engagement, accountability, delivering results and showing an increase in delivery capacity. Coach staff on daily responsibilities. Supervise and guide a team to maximise revenue. Meet with team on a daily basis. Develop a safe and positive work environment for staff. Encourage and recognize performance. Perform disciplinary enquiries when required. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Delegate work, manage workload and output of subordinates. Ensure adequate staff levels to cover for absences and peaks in workload. Control overtime in line with quarry managers instructions. Compliance with relevant legal prescriptions and constraints. Compliance with company policies and procedures. Compliance with company, statutory and legal requirements by studying and understanding requirements. Advising management of any needed actions. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results .
