Our client is seeking a newly qualified CA with experience to maintain proper financial accounting records and reporting for multiple companies within the group as well as assisting with admin requests in the interest of the organisation.
FINANCIAL
- Full bookkeeping function. Apply proper and accurate accounting records in multiple jurisdictions and currencies including,
- Capturing of the bank statements, monthly journals and monthly billing.
- Preparation of complete detailed monthly management packs for presentation.
- A deep analysis of the expenses of the business with a deep sound understanding of cost reduction.
- Monthly reconciliations of the balance sheet.
- Review of invoices and statements, ensuring reasonableness and VAT compliance.
- Perform routine calculations to analyse various financial aspects of the business and produce reports and financial spreadsheets as requested by the finance team regularly.
- Assisting with financial reporting to managers and senior executives.
- SARS and Statutory compliance – Experience with compiling information for submission.
- Various other ad-hoc duties as required and requested by the manager.
ADMIN
- Various day-to-day office admin duties.
- Data capturing of spreadsheets.
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of accounting principles and concepts.
- Analytical skills, combined with the ability to present and explain information.
- SARS, EMP, VAT and Statutory experience.
- Attention to detail, and tenacity to follow through and complete tasks.
- Confidentiality and discretion.
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Degree in Management Accounting.
- Min 5 years experience in a similar position.
- Experience in working for multiple companies in a Head Office setting.
- Strong IT skills, proficient in Excel, and Microsoft Office.
- Experience working on Quickbooks.
- Preferable to have experience with multiple currencies and large groups of companies
