Position: Management Accountant Location: Mooiplaas (Erasmia, Pretoria) Reports To: Financial Manager 6 month Fixed Term Contract SAP Experience is key and EXCEL Job Overview: The Management Accountant is responsible for preparing all financial reporting for the business unit. This role may also carry out plant costing calculations and budget preparation. The Management Accountant also supports the Business Unit head and Financial Manager with decisionmaking by providing financial information to assist in robust decision making. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Commerce (NQF Level 7) Registration with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) is advantageous Special Requirements: Good computer skills i.e. SAP Essential, BPC, Microsoft Packages. SAP Experience is key - understand SAP reports and pulling reports, experience on various SAP modules and functions Excellent Microsoft Excel skills - Pulling reports etc Excellent Time Management and Organizational Skills Attention to Detail and high level of accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Good Analytical, Project Management and Cross Functional Skills Integrity, Honesty, Respectful, Business ethics Teamwork, Committed, Professional Creative, Self-discipline, Energetic, Self-driven Self-starter, Self-motivated and Result driven. Experience: 5 years' relevant experience. Relevant experience as a financial controller with experience in preparing financial statements Experience in plant costings and cost efficiency calculations Experience in report building and variance analysis Experience with SAP ERP Income statement forecasting Duties: Compile CAPEX spend tracking and forecasting, prepare reports and obtain relevant information from stakeholders. Implement and manage effective cost accounting systems, controls, and procedures. Assist plants in Costing queries, new products costing, budget loading and variance analysis. Assist in the preparation of detailed monthly account analysis and reports. Assist preparation of Monthly management accounts, including split by plant Prepare Monthly Variance analysis, per plant and product, and reconcile to overall cost of production. Calculate working capital and provide reports and follow-up where required. Prepare reporting and dashboards on Excel on monthly financial information and production KPIs. Manage governance of accounting and finance processes through audit findings Optimise internal controls and processes. Update management accounts as needed and provide the relevant management information for decision making. Assist with the preparation of business plans to include overall cost of production, stocks, production, sales, and plan income statement. Liaise with Internal Audit, external Audit for yearend closure as costing specialist. Assist auditors with audits and control self-assessments (CSA) Provide guidance on the optimal usage of ERP system to relevant financial users Management of the budget processes. Compilation of Annual financial statements.
