We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Management Intern to join our team. The intern will work closely with our in-house Facilities Coordinator and receive comprehensive training to prepare for managing national facilities. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in facilities management and develop skills that are essential for a successful career in this field. Assist with Daily Operations: Support the Facilities Coordinator in managing the day-to-day operations of our facilities. Overseeing office cleanliness: Assist in overseeing and coordinating the activities of both in-house and outsourced cleaning staff to ensure a clean and well-maintained facility. Maintenance Coordination: Help schedule and coordinate maintenance activities, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks. Vendor Management: Assist in liaising with vendors and contractors, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. Space Planning: Participate in space planning activities, including office layout design and optimising space utilisation. Health and Safety Compliance: Support the implementation and monitoring of health and safety protocols across all facilities. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, vendor contracts, and safety inspections. Prepare reports as needed. Inventory Management: Assist in tracking and managing inventory of facilities supplies and equipment. Budget Support: Help monitor facilities-related expenses and assist in budget preparation and management. Project Support: Participate in various facilities-related projects, including renovations, relocations, and new facility openings. Learning and Development: Engage in continuous learning and development opportunities provided by the Facilities Coordinator and other team members. Ad hoc related work. Recently completed a qualification in Facilities Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Basic understanding of facilities management principles and practices. 0 – 1 years' experience will receive preference. Fluency in English is a necessity. A high quality of communication, planning and time management skills required. Valid code 08 driver's license & own reliable transport. Able to work after hours & weekends when required. Willing to travel nationally if required. Must reside close to our offices in Modderfontein. Intermediate knowledge of MS Office package including Outlook. Preference will be given to a non-smoker.
