SASA- Management Accounting Officer The South African Sugar Association (SASA) has a permanent vacancy for a Management Accounting Officer, based at Mount Edgecombe. Reporting directly to the Management Accountant, the Management Accounting Officer is responsible for the following key deliverables: Assuming responsibility for specific SASA budgets, including the preparation, managing and periodic reporting on these budgets, in close consultation with the relevant internal and external stakeholders, departmental managers and/or divisional heads Providing financial advice and guidance to departmental managers regarding budget phasing and utilization Assuming responsibility for key financial and administration functions provided by the centralized team The ideal candidate would be an individual who: has exceptional planning, organizing, organizational and self-management skills is a team player and comfortable with written and verbal communication and interaction with senior internal and external stakeholders has a strong preference for working in an environment with established standards, guidelines, policies and procedures pays close attention to detail and is thorough and meticulous and takes pride in the presentation of their deliverables Essential for this role: National Diploma or Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Financial or Management Accounting A minimum of two years budget administration experience in a centralized financial environment of a medium to large organization, with a proven track and a thorough understanding of financial and cost management accounting practices and procedures Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Proficiency in Syspro or equivalent with an excel based reporting tool Important to Note: SASA recognizes the need for employers in South Africa to contribute to transformation through active support for the provisions of the Employment Equity Act and Black Economic Empowerment legislation and recognizes the high level of unemployment in our country.
