Recharger is an established metering enterprise with a national client base. The company provides metering and vending services with its Head-Office based in La Lucia, Durban. The company has a busy support centre for its national client network, that operates 7 days a week 365 days a year, based at its head-office. A position exists for an Experienced Legal Manager who will provide direct legal guidance & support to the Customer Call and Support Centre for the staff and departments providing frontline support. A commercial knowledge, forward thinking, policy and procedure driven experienced Legal Manager who would advise and enhance the support department comprehensively. This is a position thats based within the Recharger Customer Call & Support Centre. Recharger is seeking a talented and highly motivated lawyer to support our rapidly growing and evolving Customer Support Centre. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with broad, generalist responsibilities, but with specialist legal subject skills in commercial law and regulatory matters pertaining to the Energy Industry. You will be responsible for counseling the Customer Support team at the head-office, by giving pro-active, professional, competent, effective and creative legal support. A Researcher who would attain the relevant knowledge of the industry and provide guidance to the team on their client support effectiveness. You'll need to bring in interpersonal skills and business sense to deal with multiple functional teams in a rapidly scaling Support Center. Required to work independently as well as part of various teams and take on projects in addition to the daily day job. Strong written and oral communication skills, with leadership capability. Provide legal advisory support, guidance and information for all business units as well as the strategic support group on legal matters, including keeping abreast of legislative changes, regulatory guidelines and consultation papers from regulators. Briefly: Experience that would assist the Support Centre in driving a service excellence. Experience in strategic and business planning and monitoring and reporting. A collaborative style to work with the teams within the department providing insight and guidance. In-depth knowledge of business processes and how to implement and leverage these within a complex business environment, enhancing procedures and policies within the department. Excellent analytical, organisational, management and leadership skills, business acumen and the ability to deal with client queries on demand. A Bachelor's law degree LLB /BCom Law - Attorney / Advocate, Master of Laws. Minimum 5 years of working experience as an in-house counsel and/or practicing lawyer Proven Experience in the Commercial Sector Own transport Clear credit record No criminal record Contactable and positive references A 'Peoples-Person' easy communicator able to lead teams.
