Our client is looking for a high-level HR Manager to join their team and oversee the HR Operations for their organisation. General oversight of HR Operations for various sites across South Africa and Africa. IR and ER Management for the Group (including Conduct Management, Grievance Oversight and Labour Dispute Resolution). Bargaining/Negotiation Process Management. CCMA and Labour Department/Court Representation Coordination. Implementation of HR Compliance framework across the Group with robust auditing cycles in place. Analysis and Management Reporting. Project management of various HR projects from time to time, for example current time and attendance roll out. Relevant undergraduate degree (preferably a law degree) Solid experience within a HR function with a focus on the IR requirements, experience should include engagement at a senior management level. Direct and hands on experience with union negotiation and labour mediation and arbitration. Working knowledge of African labour law and experience with any African country a strong advantage. Prepared to travel to various sites on a fairly regular basis. Ability to speak additional languages would be advantageous. Labour and employment law with the capacity to upskill self on international labour law in the countries in which the organisation operates (Mozambique, Lesotho, Zambia, DRC, Botswana). Working knowledge of Sage 300. Reading and interpreting legal documents and policy (legal document) formulation. Strong verbal and written communication. Computer literacy (Word, Excel and PowerPoint intermediate level). Report writing and data analysis skills. Strong negotiation skills.
