An exciting opportunity is available at a global energy company. They are seeking an experienced and qualified attorney with experience in Maritime Law to join their specialist Shipping and Logistics team. Understanding of High Court processes. Experience in Commercial Litigation, Administrative Law, Corporate Law Dispute Resolution, Aviation, Logistics, Off-shore & Energy, customs, International Trade, and Maritime Law. Good drafting skills required for legal opinions, pleadings, etc. Competencies: Must be well-organised and conscientious. Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Display good attention to detail. Good interpersonal skills. Resilient personality. Maintain confidentiality. Honesty, reliability and punctuality is important. Must be willing to work in a highly pressured environment. Admitted attorney. LLB Degree, Post qualifications would be advantageous. A Masters degree in maritime law would be advantageous. A minimum of 3 years post articles experience in maritime law with an excellent track record is required. Previous work experience with a shipping line (e.g. CMA CGM, Maersk, MSC etc) or a ships agent. At least 3 years of Litigation Experience.
