Market Analyst (Online Trading) - Kloof Street

JOB SUMMARY: The market analyst is responsible for analyzing and interpreting online trading trends for Banxso by evaluating trade opportunities and developing strategies to optimize customers trade activities. As a market analyst you will collaborate closely with onboarding and success teams to ensure effective trade execution and maximize Banxso profitability. This position will require a deep understanding of online trading dynamics, consumer behaviour, and trading market trends to make informed decisions that drive business and customer success growth. Requirements Customer Relations: Establish customers specific needs and research markets which allows customers to make the best investment decisions by guiding on which markets to buy or sell and when to buy or sell, providing straightforward advice, dashboards, and reports with regards to the markets. Market Analysis: monitor and analyse trading market trends, competitive landscape, and customer preferences by identifying potential trade opportunities and risks, studying stock market activities, execute trades, monitor, and analyse trade activities on behalf of customers by conducting thorough research on industry developments and macroeconomic factors influencing trade markets and perform trade related data analysis to guide customers on trading strategies. Trade Strategy Development: develop comprehensive trade strategies aligned with Banxso’s goals, considering markets, trade bonus, lots, free margins, margin levels and equity and collaborate with Success Managers and Onboarding Agents to align trade strategies with overall brand and sales objectives. Trade Promotion Planning: Assist with promotional campaigns and incentives to drive product adoption and sales by analysing historical promotional data to make data-driven decisions in creating effective promotional plans. Demand Forecasting: Utilize historical data, market insights and seasonality trends to accurately forecast demand and plan accordingly by working closely with internal teams to ensure accurate margin levels during trade promotions. Performance Analysis: Track and analyse the effectiveness of trades and initiatives through key performance indicators (KPI) such as volumes, lots, free margins, market levels and equity and provide insights to customers on performance and make recommendations for continuous improvement. Department Collaboration: collaborate with success and onboarding teams to ensure seamless execution of trade strategies by communicating trade plans and initiatives to internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment, and understanding. Budget Management: Monitor customer spending and adjust strategies as needed to optimize trading opportunities. Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, trading markets, consumer behaviour and competitive activities to make informed trade strategies and participate in industry events, conferences, and forums to gather insights and network with peers. Advisory Role: provide guidance to management and staff on potential risks flagged and observed. Benefits Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or economics 5 years proven experience in online trading or trade market analysis. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and trends to make strategic decisions. Proficiency in using analytical tools, spreadsheets, and data visualization software. Excellent presentation skills to convey dashboards and complex ideas to Clients and Internal stakeholders. Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with all stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively with all departments. Results orientated, driven and able to consistently meet and exceed targets.
