An exciting opportunity has become available within a major contributor of flour products to the Western Cape Market. The position is based in Durbanville. This position is responsible for all aspects of Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, reporting to the Marketing Manager. Sales: Visitations - Regularly call on all owners / store managers / bakery managers as per planning. Existing Clients - Maintain and increase sales to clients in line with set targets. New Clients - Source & secure new clients via qualified leads and specific market segments - To be determined by the Marketing Manager on a monthly basis. Old / Lost Clients - Revisit and recapture clients where possible - To be determined by the Marketing Manager on a monthly basis. Products - Have detailed knowledge of products manufactured by the company. Services - Establish excellent client service & relationships. Orders - Receive emergency orders from clients - accurate and detailed. Retail - Call on retail stores - existing and new clients. Marketing: Company Image - Promote the company as a professional company. Advertising - Look for potential ways to advertise the company. Gifts - Allocation of year end gifts / promotions / to selected clients. Market Trends - Be up to date with market trends and prices. New Products - Investigate and give feedback to management on a regular basis. Client Support Problem Solving - Follow up on bakery problems and find suitable solutions along with the bakery specialist - treat as urgent. Product Ranges - Make recommendations for extending product ranges - practical bakes etc. Product Costings - Do costings for clients showing GP's etc. with assistance from the bakery specialist - costings to be documented. Promotions - Offer promotions as required by clients - promotions during celebration periods. Test baking - Demonstration bakes using company flour & baker - correct baking procedures. Bakery Openings - Bakery support as required - merchandising - hands on baking. Deliveries - Assist with effective emergency deliveries when required - accurate and timeously. Administration Client Visitation Planning - Daily, weekly, and monthly visitation planning to be detailed, accurate & complete. Client Visitation Reports - Daily visitation reports to be detailed, accurate & complete as per set document. Existing Client Information - Changes to client information must be given to Marketing Admin Assistant -accurately and timeously. Filing - File all relevant customer information (information forms, edit forms, price reviews and all other correspondence) in the customer's electronic file. Proposals - Proposals to be delivered / emailed to client timeously, as per set standards and follow-up to occur within 1 week thereafter. Vehicles - To be cleaned weekly and serviced as per manufacturers recommendations. Daily Feedback Meeting - Daily feedback session - attend as required - highlight days' activities - accurate & detailed. Vehicle check sheets - Vehicle check sheet 14025 to be filled in weekly - accurate & complete. Leave - All leave applications to be completed before leave is taken - accurate & complete. Week-end Duty – If Applicable Weekend duty shall occur every fourth week, according to the weekend duty schedule drawn up beforehand. You will also be on duty on at least three public holidays per year (as per schedule) Diploma/Degree in Marketing/Sales will be advantageous. Administration or sales and marketing assistant experience. Effective written and verbal communication skills. A high level of attention to detail. Ability to work effectively within a team and independently. Experience using computers for a variety of tasks. Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook. Good organization skills. Digital marketing experience will be advantageous. Must have a valid Code 8 driver's license – Own transport to and from work required, but a vehicle will be provided for customer visits Apply Now
