Monitor Distributors is a manufacturing company that manufactures high pressure washing equipment. It is stable and has been around for over 55 years, employing 50 to 55 people. The head office is in Umbilo, with a small satellite branch in Jo'burg. We are very passionate about our brand, Hawk We are looking for someone who is a passionate marketer to take this function within our company to the next level. PURPOSE OF ROLE The marketing specialist creates and co-ordinates all the marketing initiatives and the corporate identity of the company across all platforms. This position is part creative and part administrative. We are looking for someone with design capabilities but who is also organized and detail orientated. JOB DESCRIPTION While most of the functions are listed, this is not a comprehensive list. CORPORATE LITERATURE Taking product photos for records and for marketing purposes and etching them Creating Brochures, Catalogs, Price Lists, User Manuals, Workshop Manuals using CorelDraw / Corel PhotoPaint and Excel DIGITAL MARKETING Maintaining and updating the website with WordPress Creating posts and videos for Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn – interacting with customers online Maintaining online profiles e.g. with Industrial Buyer Identifying industry sectors and building databases for email marketing preferably with MailChimp Writing articles for blogs and social media GENERAL MARKETING Booking of print media adverts and designing of adverts Booking of trade shows and coordinating the stand layout with relevant marketing material, products and brochures. EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS Matric Tertiary training in marketing Minimum 3years experience in a similar position Experience in managing and creating content for various social media platforms. Strong understanding of social media analytics Experience with running Google AD's and SEO Must be computer literate – Excel an advantage Must have CorelDraw / Corel PhotoPaint or similar design software experience Proven skills in video and photo editing. Must have experience in digital marketing WordPress experience an advantage MailChimp experience an advantage Must be a good written communicator ATTRIBUTES Creative Accurate and organized High attention to detail Good communicator Solution orientated Can-do attitude Friendly, helpful and well presented Self motivated Able to work under pressure SALARY R10,000 to R16,000pm depending on experience BENEFITS After 3 months probation: Compulsory medical aid (unless proof of already being on a medical aid) - company pays 50% Compulsory pension with built in life insurance and funeral benefit - company contributes 10% of salary and employee contributes 7% 10% Monthly discretionary Attendance and Performance Bonus First 3 years: 15 days leave taken at annual shutdown. From 4th year: 20 days annual leave
