Master Baker - West Rand

As the Master Baker you will be responsible for leading our bakery operations and creating a variety of delicious baked goods. From bread and pastries to desserts, you will use your expertise to produce high-quality products that exceed our guests' expectations and contribute to the overall success of our restaurant. Bakery Production: Oversee all aspects of bakery production, including mixing, shaping, proofing, and baking. Ensure that all baked goods meet our quality standards and are produced in a timely manner. Recipe Development: Develop and refine recipes for a variety of baked goods, ensuring consistency and quality. Stay informed about current baking trends and incorporate new techniques and flavors into our offerings. Equipment Management: Maintain and operate bakery equipment, including mixers, ovens, and proofing cabinets, ensuring proper functionality and safety. Coordinate with maintenance staff to schedule regular equipment maintenance and repairs. Inventory Management: Monitor bakery ingredient inventory levels and order supplies as needed to maintain adequate stock levels. Ensure that all ingredients are properly stored and rotated to minimize waste and ensure freshness. Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks on baked goods to ensure that they meet our standards for taste, texture, and appearance. Address any issues or discrepancies promptly and take corrective action as needed. Training and Development: Train and mentor bakery staff on proper baking techniques, recipe execution, and quality control measures.
