A vacancy currently exists for a Raw Material Procurement Manager for the Feed division. The ideal candidate would be responsible for: Managing procurement of raw materials (macro and micro) for the manufacture of animal feed at the individual Meadow mills in terms of availability, quality specifications and pricing. Liaison with senior management, nutrition and procurement personnel regarding raw material cost and availability, requirements and restrictions, contract allocation and control. Reporting on daily / monthly / quarterly basis maize/soya positions, raw material usages and forecasts. Interaction with suppliers to maintain approved supplier list, facilitate supplier evaluation/vetting, negotiate and control contracts, and inspection of production facilities. Understanding of the working of international and local commodity markets. Ability to interpret local and international commodity supply and demand and liaison with relevant stakeholders. The successful candidate must meet the following requirements: A relevant tertiary qualification. 5 years' experience in a similar position. Extensive knowledge of the animal feed industry. An excellent communicator at the highest level. The successful candidate will have a good understanding of business principles. High level of personal and professional integrity and work ethic. Be computer literate in MS Office products at advanced level.
