Job Requirements: Eng / BSc. Eng / BTech in Mechanical Engineering 3-5 years' Mechanical Design experience, preferably within manufacturing environment. Proficient in 3D CAD software (Solid Edge [primary], Autodesk Inventor [secondary]). Proficient in finite element analysis. Can work independently and within a team. Good communication skills (verbal and written). Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and OneNote). Own transport Job Responsibilities: Design of new and existing pressure vessel products by using various international design standards. Verify designs via proof testing; calculation and/or finite element analysis with thorough reporting thereafter (internally and to external auditors). Liaising with governing bodies to obtain type approvals for new products/designs, as well as the maintenance of approvals for existing products/designs. Develop manufacturing drawings for production and ensure engineering assistance is given to allow production to operate continuously and efficiently. Jig (welding/assembly) and tooling design for manufacturing of products as required by production, inclusive of cost analysis and if required a time study to determine feasibility. Complete test protocols and test report writing for R&D phases of the product cycle(s). Provide solutions to production related technical problems and resolving inefficiencies. Assisting in costing and completion of quotes via written and/or verbal specifications from Engineers, Production and Sales Executives. Produce exceptional work under minimal supervision. Complete project responsibilities within scope, budget, and schedule. Remain organised across various design changes/revisions and be diligent on keeping a paper trail as per ISO 9001 quality management systems. Participate in project meetings and conference calls as required.
