The Company: This is a manufacturing company that has been around for more than 30 years, a proudly South African Company that is doing well Over the years, they have grown into an Industry Leader that provides innovative products and solutions to their clients in multiple industries. They currently employ just under 200 people and produce millions of components each year in their state-of-the-art Machine Shop. Job Objective: The purpose of the position is to use your mechanical qualification and technical expertise to provide quick, innovative, creative and efficient solutions. This encompasses the development of new products, the optimization of current products and providing technical assistance to the company's internal and external customers. This position reports to the Engineering Manager and forms part of the Research & Development Team that works on product development for the Mining Industry. Key Responsibilities: Innovative product design, both new and product improvement. Overseeing development projects from initialization to manufacturing implementation. Providing innovative, revenue-generating engineering solutions ahead of market requirements. Providing expert technical support for the company's internal production facilities. Assisting customers with technical queries, optimizations, designs and performance analysis and testing. Requirements Qualifications / Experience: Minimum [URL Removed] Mechanical Engineering ± 3 years' experience in the design of mechanical products, components and systems (using AutoCAD / Inventor / Solid-works etc) We'll also be looking for past experience in R&D, Product Development / Industrialisation and Manufacturing To thrive in this environment, the person will need to: Have a passion for doing new and innovative things and ensuring delivery to final implementation.
